Charity Carter is the Owner and Artistic Director of FBAAD, Fort Bend Academy of Arts and Dance. She is a native of Houston, Texas and has been dancing for over 20 years and teaching for over 15 years. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University where she studied dance under the direction of Dana Nicolay. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with a teaching certification in dance, and a minor in business and education. Charity has taught dance in Aldine I.S.D, Houston I.S.D, and Texas Southern University. She continues to choreograph and teach for many school music and dance programs, dance companies, churches, organizations, and individuals.

Felecia Peters
Dance Instructor

Mrs. Felecia Peters, Dance Instructor. Mrs. Peters was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and began her love for dance at the tender age of 6 with the Mary Lois School of Dance. She continued her dance training while attending Booker T. Washington High School for Performing Arts. There she received a dance Scholarship to attend Texas Woman’s University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and a Minor Degree in Dance. Although she pursued her career in the computer industry she never lost her passion for dancing. She has trained/observed master classes from Dance schools such as Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, Urban Bush Woman, Broadway Dance Center, Houston Metropolitan Dance Center and numerous other classes across the U.S. She has studied and taught techniques such as Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Praise Dance for over 20 years. Her passion for dance has led her to instill in young dancers the beauty and strength to communicate to others in a language that everyone can understand. DANCE!
